In this situation the rules are so lacking in clarity that it seems to me perfectly reasonable to go ahead without fear of recrimination or trouble sleeping at night.

@Marie I think copyright is totally confusing. It’s definitely made easier when people use creative commons but otherwise we are left dealing with grey areas.

Unfortunately at the moment all pingback (where someone links to your post) have the Wordpress Hashcash comment added below the pingback. I could remove but that becomes quite a lengthy process.
