Well Alex's idea of a post obviously works. Although he is the ruler of the short post - i think 3 words was his shortest.

If you want to hold an audience you do need to have consistency in posting, i.e. post regularly so if shorter posts help than it is all worth it.

What can I say Leonard - good to see you have your blogging legs back :)

As usual CogDog you are a man (dog?) of many words :) I will work on being more mysterious and less outspoken :)

James I am seriously worried for you. With all the commitments you have you made time to read my post and comment. Beginning to think you may need a group hug :)

Actually Gary I think the post is longer than 140 characters but just had to do it to take the piss out of Alex - I believe he has now had the last laugh.

Yes! And No!

I find I just have to choose my battles... er.. blog posts. I find a lot of links that are interesting, but I don't have time to blog, and I collect these via Google Reader just in case I need to refer to them later...

Some of the stuff I read that gets me really thinking... I blog. The best posts I write are the ones where I have to make myself *find* time* to write about, even if it's 4am in the morning, as it was when I started blogging today, LoL. :)

This works for my "personal learning" needs - I get a cache of quick-reference material, and a longer-term "memory" of stuff I've thought about in more depth...

But I suppose a few quick posts would help to supplement the longer, more thoughtful posts with links to stuff I find that is worth retaining for longer, even if I don't have time for it...

Certainly worth thinking about! :)
